Managing Partner, Head of Real Estate

‏Dr. Hesham A. Baky‏ is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for high-growth companies. He is the founder of Triangle Family Dentistry, Carolina Orthodontics & Children's Dentistry, and AB&B Dental Management. He has grown his dental brands to 16 dental offices with a private equity exit in 2019 (Lightwave Dental). He also founded AB&B CRE, a property management company that owns and/or manages 20+ assets worth over $230 million across the Mid-Atlantic, focused on dental holdings. Hesham holds a computer engineering degree from NC State & a dental degree from UNC Chapel Hill. He sits on multiple non-profit boards while also serving as a mentor to local entrepreneurs. He has successfully led multiple exits in the dental and real estate industry with an aggregate deal size of over $100 million. He is passionate about bringing teams together & utilizing a data-driven approach to growth. He is married with four children & resides in the beautiful state of North Carolina.

Gerhard Renner is a founding member of Scale Finance LLC, which provides fractional CFO, controller, and accounting services to growth companies in the SE U.S. Over the past 16 years, Scale Finance has grown into a leading provider of outsourced & strategic financial services in the S.E. U.S., with a transactional team to provide capital solutions, including debt & equity investments and M&A transactions to its client base. Under his leadership, the Scale Finance team has completed over 100 engagements, exceeding $500M in total financing value. As a CFO, Gerhard has led numerous ventures from start-up to over $100M (including successful exits). Gerhard has served as the CFO of ABB CRE for the past two years (Dr. Baky’s real estate company). Gerhard holds a JD/MBA from the University of Southern California, and a BA in Economics and Rhetoric from UC Berkeley. He is a member of the California Bar & a FINRA-licensed investment banker, & lives in North Carolina with his wife & two children.

Griffen brings a background in commercial real estate acquisitions, development, and transaction management, with experience spanning healthcare, retail, and infrastructure-oriented real estate. Prior to joining Vantico, he supported the rapid expansion of urgent and primary care concepts on behalf of a high-growth startup, leading site selection, development coordination, and early-stage financial underwriting. His experience combines strategic site evaluation with disciplined transaction execution, working closely with stakeholders and outside vendors to move deals efficiently from contract to closing to operational asset. At Vantico, Griffen serves as the coordination hub across the acquisitions and development lifecycle, ensuring that complex transactions are managed with precision and that every moving part stays on track. He is driven by a commitment to continual growth and a belief that consistent, disciplined effort compounds over time — a philosophy he applies equally to his professional goals and his life outside of work, which includes time with his family, long walks with his two golden retrievers, and a round of golf whenever the opportunity arises.

Aya A. Rahman is a finance professional specializing in investor relations and financial analysis at Vantico Investments. She brings experience in underwriting support, investor communications, and capital raising, with a focus on enhancing investor engagement, streamlining onboarding processes, and supporting the evaluation of investment opportunities. Her work centers on managing investor relationships, executing targeted outreach strategies, and maintaining ongoing communication with investors to ensure long-term engagement and strong, sustainable relationships.

With over 12 years of extensive experience in human resources and project coordination, Hadeer Abdelrahman is a results-driven professional dedicated to transforming organizational talent and culture. Beyond her professional pursuits, Hadeer is deeply passionate about community engagement, actively participating in volunteer initiatives focused on education and economic empowerment. Her commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement underpins her approach to fostering inclusive and productive workplaces.

Victoria Melbourne

Head of Operations

Victoria brings a rare combination of depth and range. Her background spans nearly a decade in real estate asset management, where she held leadership roles across compliance, operations, and finance — ultimately serving as Vice President through a successful firm sale in 2019. She went on to work with a healthcare data science startup, collaborating with payer, provider, and wellness organizations globally on implementation and platform design. She holds a dual MBA and Master of Public Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University, along with a BA in Political Science from NC State — which means she is also a local.

Ned Dau

Ned Dau

Head of Capital Formation

Ned Dau brings more than 20 years of institutional capital formation, investor relations, and business development experience to Vantico, with a track record business development and securing institutional commitments across 17 investment vehicles from pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and consultants. Prior to Vantico, Ned was Partner and Head of Fundraising at Marathon Capital Partners, where he led capital formation for a new sustainable infrastructure and clean energy platform. Prior to that, he was Chief Marketing Officer and Global Head of Investor Relations at Proterra Investment Partners, a global real assets manager spun out of Cargill's Black River Asset Management. At Proterra and Black River, he led capital formation and investor relations globally for private equity and credit products across the real assets space and directed the LP transition through the spin-out. At Black River, he was instrumental in establishing the private equity platform and its processes. Ned began his career in public markets, managing international and emerging markets portfolios at STI Capital Management (SunTrust) and Principal Financial Group. He holds an MBA from Drake University and a BA in Business Administration from Briar Cliff University.

Pam Patron has more than 25 years of high-impact leadership at the intersection of growth strategy, business development, healthcare operations, and real estate. Her mergers and acquisitions, and commercial real estate expertise includes national account leadership at LandAmerica/Fidelity National Financial, closing $1.2B in national assets, including a $345M multi-state M&A transaction. As a successful entrepreneur and Principal-Director of Clinic Operations for a regional healthcare clinic, she built strategic physician partnerships across leading institutions while driving 233% growth. Most recently, as an economic development leader, she drove regional commercial growth and led the strategy and multi-stakeholder governance for a North Carolina public-private partnership. Pam holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MIT certification in Applied Generative AI. At Vantico, Pam draws on this blend of real estate discipline and healthcare operations depth to originate and scale partnerships with growth-minded healthcare operators. Pam and her husband recently relocated to North Carolina. Outside of work, she cherishes family time, travelling and experiencing new place, and fishing whenever she can find the time.
